In an effort to “help” my academic efforts, my mother, Mrs. Jo Stockdale, sent me a letter, possibly copied to my Air Officer Commanding (AOC) as “encouragement” to do whatever needed to be done for successful completion of my “academic probation” in a Physics course. Somehow, I don’t believe to my a priori knowledge, the letter found its way into the June 1974 cadet magazine, Talon.
