The Tyranny of Categories

Hurricane Ike threatened the Gulf Coast in 2008. The broadcasters had a bit of a problem dealing with the significance of what “category” meant. It’s a good GS lesson in terms of recognizing what labels like categories mean.

 

Spring 2011 Psychology Final Presentation

For my graduate program in Educational Psychology at the University of New Mexico, I prepared this video in lieu of a final presentation in Powerpoint. While it’s not about General Semantics per se, it’s heavily influenced by a GS perspective.
